For millions of Michael Jackson fans around the world, experiencing the King of Pop perform live remains an impossible dream. This November, however, Colombo audiences will have the opportunity to experience a production designed to recreate the energy, music and spectacle of his legendary performances.

City of Dreams Sri Lanka will bring This Is Michael – Relive the Legend to The Podium at City of Dreams Sri Lanka on November 8 and 9, 2026.

The internationally acclaimed production has toured 15 countries and 25 cities, selling more than 500,000 tickets worldwide. Its previous performances have taken place at major venues including Arena CDMX and Arena Monterrey in Mexico, Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City, Palacio Vistalegre Arena in Madrid, Movistar Arena in Chile, Roig Arena in Valencia, Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi and Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Centre in Kuwait.

Bringing Michael Jackson’s Performances to Life

The production stars Lenny Jay as Michael Jackson, recreating the singer’s distinctive voice, mannerisms, movements and stage presence. His performance has been developed through years of studying Jackson’s unique performance style and the precision behind his legendary shows.

The production goes beyond performing Jackson’s songs, incorporating carefully recreated costumes, choreography, cinematography, iconic music-video moments, stage props and theatrical elements. An international cast of dancers, singers and live musicians further adds to the concert experience.

More than 20 of Jackson’s biggest hits feature in the two-hour production, including Billie Jean, Beat It, Smooth Criminal, Thriller, The Way You Make Me Feel, Dangerous and Man in the Mirror.

A Full-Scale Concert Experience

With its combination of live musicians, dancers, choreography, visual effects and theatrical production, This Is Michael – Relive the Legend is designed to deliver the atmosphere of a major Michael Jackson concert rather than a conventional tribute performance.

For audiences, the experience aims to transform some of Jackson’s most recognisable songs from familiar recordings into a live spectacle, recreating the music, movement and visual moments associated with one of the most influential performers in music history.

For City of Dreams Sri Lanka, hosting This Is Michael – Relive the Legend forms part of its commitment to bringing major international entertainment productions to Sri Lanka and creating opportunities for local audiences to experience globally recognised shows.

On November 8 and 9, The Podium at City of Dreams Sri Lanka will become the stage for two nights celebrating the music, movement and theatrical legacy of Michael Jackson.

Sri Lanka is set to host the SEARIC Summit 2026 from September 11 to 13 at Pegasus Reef Hotel, marking the first time the country will host the flagship regional gathering of the South East Asia Rotaract Information Centre (SEARIC).

Hosted by Rotaract in Rotary International District 3220 (RID 3220) – Sri Lanka and Maldives, the three-day summit is expected to bring together more than 500 delegates from six countries. The event will provide a regional platform for leadership development, knowledge sharing, cultural exchange and collaboration among young leaders.

SEARIC serves as a regional network connecting Rotaract districts across Southeast Asia, facilitating collaboration, information exchange, cultural understanding and joint initiatives among Rotaractors. The annual SEARIC Summit is the network’s flagship gathering, bringing Rotaractors and Rotarians from participating countries together for shared learning, fellowship, cultural exchange and collective growth.

Exploring Technology and the Future of Careers

Held under the theme “The Role of Technology in the Future of Careers and Services,” SEARIC Summit Sri Lanka 2026 will examine the rapidly evolving relationship between technology, careers, leadership and community service.

As emerging technologies continue to transform industries and reshape the way people work, the summit will provide young leaders with opportunities to explore how technology can help prepare communities and professionals for the future while strengthening the delivery of community services.

Over the three-day programme, delegates will take part in leadership and professional development sessions, discussions, cultural experiences, networking activities and community-focused programmes, with the central theme incorporated throughout the summit.

Strengthening Sri Lanka’s Position as a Regional Events Destination

Beyond the Rotaract movement, the summit is expected to contribute to Sri Lanka’s positioning as a destination for international conferences, youth leadership programmes and regional collaboration.
