Nestlé Lanka’s popular malted food drink brand, NESTOMALT, has secured a Gold Dragon at the Dragons of Asia Awards 2026, recognising the success of its Avurudu campaign,  (Our Very Own New Year Filled with Power, Strength and Energy).

The award acknowledges the campaign’s excellence in strategy, creativity, execution and results, placing the brand among Asia’s recognised marketing success stories.

Inspired by the belief that Sri Lanka’s greatest strength lies in its people, the campaign offered a fresh perspective on the country’s traditional New Year celebrations. It highlighted the everyday heroes who contribute to the nation’s progress, sharing authentic stories of fishermen navigating challenging seas, farmers cultivating the land, tea pluckers sustaining a vital industry and tuk-tuk drivers connecting communities across the island.

By bringing these stories to the forefront, NESTOMALT connected the familiar values of power, strength and energy with the resilience, dedication and determination of ordinary Sri Lankans.

The campaign reflected the brand’s longstanding cultural connection with the country while presenting a meaningful and contemporary interpretation of Avurudu.

Having been part of Sri Lankan households for more than six decades, NESTOMALT continues to build on its heritage by creating campaigns that resonate with consumers and celebrate the values they share.

Its latest achievement further demonstrates the brand’s ability to transform established brand associations into relevant and impactful consumer experiences.

The recognition comes as Nestlé Lanka celebrates 120 years of operations in Sri Lanka, marking a longstanding relationship with generations of consumers and communities. As one of the company’s much-loved brands, NESTOMALT represents this enduring connection, having become part of the traditions, celebrations and everyday experiences of Sri Lankan families.

Established in Sri Lanka in 1906, Nestlé Lanka has served generations of consumers with a range of tasty and nutritious products. Today, the company manufactures more than 90% of the products it sells locally at its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Kurunegala, maintaining high standards of product safety and quality.
Inextricable Group Successfully Launches SAP System at Browns Engineering and Construction, Marking a Major Milestone
Inextricable Group, a British technology consultancy, has successfully completed a major SAP implementation for Browns Engineering and Construction, marking a significant milestone in enterprise digital transformation within the construction sector. The project involved a complex deployment across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, demonstrating the consultancy’s capabilities in delivering large-scale enterprise technology programmes.

The implementation encompassed modules across the SAP ecosystem, including the highly specialised Project Systems (PS) module. This integrated framework establishes a strong foundation for predictive analytics, enabling Browns Engineering and Construction to improve project visibility, strengthen operational processes and enhance profitability through more accurate, data-driven decision-making.

The achievement comes amid persistent challenges in large-scale digital transformation. Research by McKinsey indicates that many major transformation initiatives fail to meet their intended objectives, highlighting the importance of effective implementation, organisational alignment and disciplined execution. Inextricable Group’s delivery of complex SAP S/4HANA programmes reflects its focus on addressing these challenges through structured transformation strategies.

Nicola Carroll, Group Program Director at Inextricable Group, emphasised the significance of the project, describing it as an opportunity to push the boundaries of enterprise technology. She highlighted the team’s focus on design thinking and value co-creation, explaining that the resulting system was designed not merely to capture business data but also to support improved performance and sustainable profitability.

The project’s success was underpinned by close collaboration between Inextricable Group, LOLC IT and the Browns Engineering and Construction team. By working closely with stakeholders, the project partners ensured that the SAP implementation reflected the practical demands and operational complexities of large-scale engineering and construction activities.

Suresh Daniel, Co-Founder of Inextricable Group, highlighted the broader lessons of the achievement, noting that successful digital transformation requires more than technological investment. He emphasised the importance of organisational discipline and rethinking existing business processes before implementing new systems, underscoring the role of operational change in achieving meaningful and lasting transformation.

The successful go-live further strengthens Inextricable Group’s position in enterprise technology consulting. Its leadership team brings senior executive experience from major international organisations, including MAS Holdings, Hugo Boss and Vedanta Group. This combination of industry expertise and transformation experience supports the firm’s approach to delivering complex technology initiatives aligned with measurable business outcomes.
