Ceybank Asset Management Celebrates First Anniversary of Strategic Partnership with CAMS in Sri Lanka
Ceybank Asset Management Ltd. (Ceybank), one of Sri Lanka’s leading unit trust management companies, is strengthening its strategic partnership with Computer Age Management Services Limited (CAMS), India’s largest mutual fund registrar and transfer agent (RTA), as the collaboration continues to support the development of Sri Lanka’s evolving unit trust industry.

The partnership has played an important role in strengthening Ceybank’s operational framework, advancing digital transformation and improving the investor experience. Through the collaboration, CAMS has worked closely with Ceybank to support fund operations, enhance investor services, strengthen distributor capabilities and introduce technology-driven efficiencies, creating a more scalable foundation for the company’s future growth.

The collaboration combines Ceybank’s in-depth understanding of the Sri Lankan market with CAMS’ expertise in technology-enabled fund administration, investor engagement and distributor services. CAMS serves approximately 68% of India’s mutual fund industry’s average assets under management (AuM), drawing on extensive experience operating within a highly regulated financial services environment.

This expertise has supported Ceybank’s efforts to strengthen its operational capabilities, improve scalability and align its processes with local market requirements and the long-term development of Sri Lanka’s unit trust sector.

Commenting on the partnership, Ian Ferdinands, CEO and Executive Director of Ceybank Asset Management, said the collaboration had helped strengthen the company’s operational framework and improve the services provided to investors and distributors.

He highlighted CAMS’ experience in India’s mutual fund industry, particularly its expertise in technology, operational excellence and investor experience, noting that these capabilities had contributed to building a stronger foundation for sustainable growth. He also expressed the company’s intention to continue the partnership while enhancing its capabilities and delivering greater value to stakeholders.

Anuj Kumar, Managing Director of CAMS, expressed appreciation for the confidence Ceybank Asset Management had placed in the company as its technology and service partner. He noted that the collaboration represented an important milestone in CAMS’ efforts to extend its platform-based capabilities beyond India while deepening its understanding of Sri Lanka’s unit trust market.

He added that the partnership had been shaped by collaboration, shared learning and the alignment of operating processes with Ceybank’s priorities and local market requirements. Looking ahead, CAMS views the relationship as the foundation for a long-term collaboration built on service excellence, strong governance and an investor-focused approach.

As the partnership progresses, both organisations remain focused on strengthening operational efficiency, advancing technology-led solutions and supporting a more accessible and scalable investment environment for Sri Lankan investors.
