Sampath Bank and KOKO Introduce Credit Facility to Drive Merchant Business Growth
Sampath Bank PLC and KOKO have partnered to launch the KOKO Merchants Credit Facility, providing eligible merchants within KOKO’s expanding ecosystem with a more convenient route to business financing.

The initiative extends KOKO’s services beyond payments and customer financing by connecting merchants with Sampath Bank’s financing capabilities. The facility is designed to help eligible businesses secure funding for inventory purchases and replenishment, manage working capital and cash flow, respond to seasonal demand and invest in business expansion.

A key feature of the facility is its streamlined assessment process, which can leverage relevant information from merchants’ existing relationships and transaction activities with KOKO. This approach aims to reduce the time and effort associated with traditional financing procedures, making access to business funding more convenient for eligible merchants.

The partnership reflects a shared commitment by Sampath Bank and KOKO to supporting Sri Lankan businesses by combining KOKO’s digital merchant ecosystem with Sampath Bank’s established financial services expertise.

Through this collaboration, both organisations aim to create practical financing opportunities that help merchants strengthen their operations, respond to business needs and pursue growth opportunities with greater confidence.

All credit facilities remain subject to Sampath Bank’s eligibility criteria, credit assessment, applicable terms and conditions, and final approval.
