As increasing numbers of people seek practical ways to manage stress, improve mental wellbeing, and find greater meaning in life, the Yogoda Satsanga Society of India (YSS) will host a special public lecture in Colombo titled “Kriya Yoga: The Key to a Happy and Successful Life.”

The programme is scheduled to take place on 5 June 2026 from 5.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. at the Buddhist Cultural Centre (BCC), Colombo 05.

The lecture will be delivered by Swami Suddhananda Giri, a senior monk of YSS, who has spent decades sharing the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda with audiences around the world.

Open to individuals of all faiths and backgrounds, the event will explore how spiritual principles and meditation practices can help cultivate inner peace, mental clarity, resilience, and lasting happiness while navigating the challenges of modern life.

According to YSS, the programme aims to introduce participants to practical, time-tested meditation techniques that can support greater balance, purpose, and fulfilment in daily living.

Founded in 1917 by Paramahansa Yogananda, the Yogoda Satsanga Society of India is dedicated to promoting meditation, self-realisation, and harmonious living. Yogananda is widely known as the author of the acclaimed spiritual classic Autobiography of a Yogi, which has inspired millions of readers worldwide.

Following the public lecture, YSS monks will conduct a two-day meditation and spiritual learning programme on 6 and 7 June 2026 at the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre. The sessions will provide participants with foundational meditation techniques, deeper insights into the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda, and practical guidance on incorporating spiritual principles into everyday life.
