Prime Melwa Port City Ltd. has officially launched its highly anticipated world-class marina living project at Port City Colombo, marking a major milestone in the development of one of the region’s most prestigious waterfront residential destinations.

Positioned as Asia’s Global Marina Front Masterpiece, the landmark development is set to redefine luxury waterfront living in South Asia while further strengthening Sri Lanka’s presence on the global real estate map.

In a statement, Prime Melwa Port City Ltd. said, “We are honoured to formally commence this globally inspired visionary project, a defining milestone in bringing our bold vision to life. Located in one of the most prestigious zones within Port City Colombo, this iconic development offers a rare opportunity to experience unparalleled marina-front, waterfront, and oceanfront living.”

In global real estate, value has long been defined by three key pillars: location, architectural excellence, and developer credibility. Overlooking the iconic marina and the Indian Ocean, the project promises sweeping panoramic views, strong long-term value appreciation, and a lifestyle crafted to international standards.

Situated within Port City Colombo—South Asia’s most ambitious and internationally recognised future city—Prime Melwa Port City enjoys a prime marina-front position with uninterrupted ocean views, creating a truly iconic waterfront address that sets it apart.

The design elevates the development into a true architectural landmark. Conceptualised by internationally acclaimed firm P&T Group Singapore, the project embodies sophistication, elegance, and refined waterfront living. Every detail has been carefully designed to reflect timeless architectural excellence, modern luxury, and world-class quality.

The strength of the project is further reinforced by its developers. Prime Group, a leading name in Sri Lanka’s real estate sector with over 30 years of experience, partners with Melwa, one of the country’s most trusted conglomerates, to shape a new era of premium real estate development.

Prime Group Co-Chairperson Sandamini Perera stated, “In global real estate, location is the most defining factor. Port City Colombo is South Asia’s most ambitious destination, and within it, the Marina Zone stands as the most prestigious, rare, and high-value address. Our development, the only residential project directly facing the marina, waterfront, and Indian Ocean, offers an exclusive lifestyle and a compelling long-term investment opportunity.”
Hellmann and MAS Holdings unveil new fashion logistics hub in Sri Lanka
Hellmann Worldwide Logistics and MAS Holdings, partners in the joint venture Hellmann MAS Supply Chain established in 2018, have announced the development of a new built-to-suit contract logistics facility in Kimbulapitiya, Sri Lanka.

Strategically located in the Gampaha District of the Western Province, just six kilometers from Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB), the facility will function as a dedicated fashion hub within Hellmann’s South Asia network.

The development marks a significant milestone in Hellmann’s Forward 2030 strategy, further strengthening its fashion vertical as a key driver of long-term global growth. Sri Lanka’s strategic location as a gateway between Asia, Africa, and Europe enhances its role in international trade, enabling the delivery of customer-focused, high-performance logistics solutions tailored to the evolving needs of global fashion supply chains.

For MAS Holdings, the investment represents another step in its strategic expansion journey, reinforcing its position as South Asia’s largest apparel tech company. The company continues to pursue more ambitious growth targets, signaling its intent to play a leading role in transforming the global apparel industry.

The facility, designed to manage the full spectrum of fashion logistics operations, spans over 8,000 square meters and features dual-zone humidity and climate control systems, along with integrated solar power. Its scalable infrastructure is intended to support efficient regional distribution across Asia, Africa, and Europe while maintaining high standards of operational performance and sustainability.

This project builds on the long-standing partnership between Hellmann and MAS Holdings. Through Hellmann MAS Supply Chain, the two companies combine Hellmann’s global logistics expertise with MAS Holdings’ deep experience in apparel manufacturing and supply chain innovation, providing leading international fashion brands with integrated end-to-end logistics solutions across South Asia.

“Sri Lanka combines world-class manufacturing and contract logistics capabilities with agile fashion supply chains, making it a trusted partner for global brands. With this new built-to-suit facility, we are strengthening the end-to-end fashion logistics capabilities of Hellmann MAS Supply Chain, our mutual joint venture with MAS Holdings,” said Hellmann Worldwide Logistics Regional COO Contract Logistics IMEA, Patrick Grzywa.

“This investment reflects MAS’ continued commitment to strengthening Sri Lanka’s position as a globally competitive apparel hub,” said MAS Holdings COO and Hellmann MAS Supply Chain Board Member Shakthi Ranatunge.
