Global GIS (Pvt) Ltd, a pioneer in geospatial positioning solutions in Sri Lanka, marked its 12th anniversary with the grand opening of its new three-storey head office located at 6th Lane, Pagoda Road, Nugegoda. The opening ceremony was followed by a series of religious observances held at the premises.

Commenting on the milestone, Managing Director Nishshanka De Silva stated that the move to a larger facility reflects the company’s continued growth and has been designed to enhance customer value through improved training, capacity building, and product demonstrations, supported by a state-of-the-art auditorium.

He further noted that the achievement underscores the company’s ongoing commitment to innovation, leadership, and excellence, backed by a dedicated team and long-standing partnerships aligned with international best practices in the geospatial services industry.

Director Jeewan Suranga highlighted that Global GIS operates a nationwide high-precision CORS (Continuously Operating Reference Stations) network, delivering real-time, high-accuracy positioning data through strategically placed GPS/GNSS receivers. He also noted that the company is the first and only corporate member from Sri Lanka of the International Federation of Surveyors (FIG), based in Copenhagen.
FLIR Technologies took centre stage at the Marlbo Trading stall during INCO 2026, drawing strong attention from visitors and industry professionals at the event
Marlbo Trading Company, a leading provider of advanced inspection and diagnostic solutions in Sri Lanka, will feature FLIR Systems at its stall during the INCO 2026 Industrial Exhibition, scheduled from 13 to 15 March at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall.

The exhibition will bring together key stakeholders from Sri Lanka’s industrial, construction, and infrastructure sectors, offering a platform to explore innovative technologies aimed at improving efficiency, safety, and operational reliability.

At the event, Marlbo Trading will showcase the latest FLIR innovations, demonstrating how advanced thermal and diagnostic imaging solutions can enhance maintenance practices and boost performance across multiple industries.

FLIR technologies are widely used in sectors such as manufacturing, utilities, construction, asset management, and defence, where early fault detection and accurate diagnostics are essential for operational continuity. Thermal imaging systems help detect invisible temperature anomalies, enabling early identification of electrical, mechanical, and structural issues before they escalate into failures.

In addition, FLIR’s acoustic imaging solutions support industrial leak detection and compressed air system monitoring. Using advanced sensor arrays and sound visualisation, these tools help identify gas leaks, vacuum losses, and partial electrical discharges—even in challenging industrial environments.

By enabling faster and more accurate detection, these technologies contribute to improved energy efficiency, reduced operational waste, and stronger predictive maintenance strategies across large-scale facilities.

Visitors to INCO 2026 will be able to experience live demonstrations of FLIR’s advanced inspection technologies at the Marlbo Trading stall throughout the three-day event.
