APIIT and XpressJobs have signed a strategic partnership aimed at redefining early career access by integrating job opportunities directly into the student learning experience.
The agreement between the Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology (APIIT) and XpressJobs marks a key step toward embedding career pathways within the academic journey, enabling students to engage with real-time employment opportunities while continuing their studies.
APIIT, a leading higher education institution in Sri Lanka, is known for its internationally benchmarked academic programmes and focus on producing industry-ready graduates. XpressJobs, one of the country’s leading job portals, is widely recognised for its recruitment technology-driven platform and operates several sub-brands including rakiya.lk, internjobs.lk, and hrnews.lk.
Through this collaboration, XpressJobs will integrate a dynamic job portal into APIIT’s Learning Management System (LMS) and official website, providing students with direct access to job opportunities across multiple sectors. These include Finance, Sales, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Legal, Hospitality, Human Resources, IT, Supply Chain, as well as internships and remote or hybrid roles.
The initiative will allow students to explore both part-time and full-time opportunities, helping them begin building their careers while studying or transition smoothly into employment after graduation. It will also provide insights into hiring trends, in-demand roles, and evolving industry expectations, enabling more informed career decision-making.
As part of the partnership, XpressJobs will also assist APIIT in developing and managing an internal student CV database. This will give the institution better visibility of its student and alumni talent pool while strengthening its positioning as a provider of career-ready graduates.
In addition, XpressJobs will conduct career development and industry-focused sessions for students. A recent session for APIIT business students introduced recruitment technology within their HR module and provided exposure to Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), along with access to a Recruitment Technology Specialization certification.
