At Google I/O, Google and Samsung Electronics officially showcased their new AI-powered smart glasses developed under the Android XR platform, created in collaboration with fashion brands Gentle Monster and Warby Parker. The device will be available in two distinct designs, each reflecting the aesthetic identity of the respective eyewear partners.

While full technical specifications have not yet been disclosed, the companies highlighted several key features of the upcoming wearable. One of the main capabilities is hands-free access to Gemini, allowing users to interact with the AI assistant using voice commands directly through the glasses.

The smart glasses also support real-time navigation, location-based search, and personalized recommendations, all delivered directly in the user’s field of view. In addition, the Android XR system enables productivity-focused functions such as summarizing notifications, placing orders, and creating calendar events without needing to use a smartphone.

Another standout feature is real-time translation. The glasses can translate spoken conversations as well as text from signs and other visual inputs using an integrated AI camera. The device is also capable of capturing photos and videos, further extending its utility.

Like most early-generation smart glasses, the device requires a connected smartphone to function fully. Official images show a single front-facing camera paired with an LED indicator integrated into the frame for visual signaling.

Although hardware details and pricing remain unannounced, the launch is expected around September, with more information likely to be revealed in the coming months as development continues.
LinkedIn to Limit the Reach of AI-Generated Content
LinkedIn, widely known as a professional networking platform for white-collar workers, has increasingly seen a surge of AI-generated posts following the rapid adoption of artificial intelligence tools across the digital space.

In response, the company is now taking steps to address the growing volume of such content on its platform.

Move to encourage original content

According to reports, LinkedIn plans to reduce the reach of content generated using AI tools, alongside posts designed primarily to drive engagement or interaction.

The aim is to improve feed quality by prioritising more authentic and original contributions from users rather than mass-produced or repetitive AI-generated material.

The platform has already begun rolling out these changes over the past few weeks, with a broader enforcement expected in the coming period.

While full details have not yet been disclosed, the move signals LinkedIn’s intention to reshape its content ecosystem toward more meaningful, human-driven professional insights.

Further announcements are expected as the rollout continues and the platform refines how it identifies and ranks AI-generated content.
