MEXC, a digital asset trading platform, served as the official sponsor of Yohani’s live concerts held on August 7 and 8 in Colombo, strengthening its engagement with Sri Lanka while bringing together music, culture and the digital finance community.
Ahead of the main concert, MEXC hosted “MEXC Connect: Summer Musical Afternoon Tea” on August 8 at Jetwing Colombo Seven. The event brought together around 80 key opinion leaders, influencers and VIP guests for an intimate pre-concert gathering.
The afternoon tea featured an indoor buffet setting, live acoustic performances of Yohani’s songs, ring toss games and a dedicated MEXC photo booth. The gathering provided guests with an opportunity to connect with the brand in a relaxed setting ahead of the main concert.
Highlights from the event and the concert weekend were also captured through a series of short films featuring Yohani, with the content scheduled for release across MEXC’s social media channels.
The collaboration brought together two names with international recognition. Yohani, the Sri Lankan singer-songwriter who gained global attention through her viral hit “Manike Mage Hithe,” has also collaborated with Bollywood artists including Jubin Nautiyal and Tanishk Bagchi.
MEXC, meanwhile, has established itself as a global digital asset trading platform, promoting its “0 Fees” and “Infinite Opportunities” proposition to users across international markets.
The partnership reflects a shared focus on engaging younger communities and using culture and entertainment as a platform for connecting audiences across borders.
MEXC said its broader mission is centred on reducing barriers to participation in global digital asset markets, including barriers related to geography, accessibility and complexity.
As global financial markets continue to evolve and traditional and digital asset ecosystems increasingly converge, the company positions its platform as a gateway through which users can access broader market opportunities.
Interest in digital assets has also continued to develop across South Asia, with countries in the region exploring the potential role of emerging financial technologies in economic development.
Against this backdrop, Sri Lanka’s young and digitally engaged population represents an increasingly important community for the digital asset sector. MEXC said it remains committed to engaging with local communities as interest in digital assets and emerging financial technologies continues to evolve.
