ShopeePay has introduced Travel eSIMs on its app, allowing users to stay connected more easily while travelling overseas.
The service currently supports destinations including Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Japan, China, and Singapore. Users can purchase and activate an eSIM directly through the ShopeePay app either before or during their trip.
Plans are available for up to 31 days, with prices starting from RM3.50, offering a more affordable and convenient alternative to physical SIM cards. To use it, customers simply go to the eSIM section in the app, select their destination, choose a data plan and duration, complete the purchase, and activate the eSIM via direct activation, QR code, or manual setup.
This new feature also complements ShopeePay’s other travel services, such as flight and hotel bookings and travel insurance, creating an all-in-one travel solution within the app.
