Samsung Launches Company-Wide AI Transformation Program, Expands Use of ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude
Samsung has launched a company-wide Artificial Intelligence Transformation (AX) initiative aimed at integrating AI into daily operations across its global business units, marking one of the company's most ambitious digital transformation efforts to date.
The programme is designed to enhance productivity, accelerate work automation, and encourage the widespread adoption of AI across the organisation. As part of the initiative, Samsung will provide employees with access to leading generative AI platforms, including ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and Claude, enabling teams to leverage AI for software development, marketing, manufacturing operations, business management, and other key functions.
A major component of the AX programme is workforce development. Samsung plans to train approximately 280,000 employees by the end of 2026 in AI literacy, the effective use of generative AI tools, and the integration of AI into everyday workflows. The initiative reflects the company's commitment to embedding AI capabilities across all levels of the organisation.
Implementation will begin at the leadership level, with more than 50 group presidents participating in an AI bootcamp conducted by the Samsung Human Resources Development Institute. The programme will subsequently be extended to around 2,300 senior executives, who will undergo intensive AI-focused training. The first phase of executive training is expected to conclude by mid-August.
Samsung is also expected to unveil its "AX Vision" during the leadership programme, outlining the company's long-term strategy for AI adoption and the role artificial intelligence will play across its business ecosystem.
The initiative highlights Samsung's growing focus on AI-driven innovation as companies worldwide increasingly invest in artificial intelligence to improve efficiency, enhance decision-making, and strengthen competitiveness in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
