Ministry of Brands (MOB), Sri Lanka’s first off-price retailer, has officially opened its second outlet at One Galle Face Mall, marking a key milestone in its rapid expansion since launching earlier this year.
Located on Level 4 of the mall, the new store welcomed shoppers on April 26, 2026, and has quickly become one of the most talked-about retail openings in the country.
Ministry of Brands introduced the globally popular off-price retail model to South Asia, enabling customers to purchase genuine luxury, premium, and high-street brands at significantly reduced prices. The concept also supports more sustainable retail practices by giving excess inventory a renewed path to market.
Following the successful launch of its flagship outlet on Duplication Road in February 2026, MOB reports that customer response has exceeded expectations, fuelling momentum for further expansion both locally and internationally. The company is now preparing to enter Pakistan, with additional plans for growth across South Asia and Australia.
The retailer offers over 2,000 international and designer labels across womenswear, menswear, childrenswear, homeware, and accessories. Featured brands include Gucci, Valentino, Zara, Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren, Tory Burch, Lacoste, Puma, UGG, HOKA, Brooks, Air Jordan, Brooks Brothers, Carter's, and The North Face, among many others.
Commenting on the expansion, Director Aamir Akbarally said the strong customer response reflects growing demand for accessible global fashion in Sri Lanka. He noted that MOB aims to remove traditional barriers to authentic international brands by offering them at affordable prices, while continuing to refine its offering based on customer feedback.
MOB’s off-price model delivers a “treasure-hunt” shopping experience, with new collections arriving daily and limited quantities per style, creating a sense of exclusivity and discovery. Each outlet carries a distinct merchandise mix, ensuring a unique experience for shoppers.
The One Galle Face Mall store spans 7,000 square feet and is designed to offer a spacious, premium retail environment. Merchandise is organised by category and size, allowing customers to browse seamlessly across fashion, accessories, and home essentials.
