Kotagala Kahata successfully concluded its highly anticipated ‘Rasa Wasana 2025’ consumer promotion with a grand prize-giving ceremony held recently at the Grand Oriental Hotel in Colombo.

The event recognised five lucky winners, each of whom was awarded a TVS Scooty Pep motorcycle. The successful conclusion of the campaign marks another milestone in Kotagala Kahata’s continued commitment to rewarding consumer loyalty while strengthening its long-standing relationship with households across Sri Lanka.

The ‘Kotagala Kahata Rasa Wasana 2025’ promotion ran until October 5, 2025, offering consumers the opportunity to participate by submitting an empty Kotagala Kahata tea packet of any size together with their name, address, and telephone number.

To maximise consumer engagement, Kotagala Kahata’s promotional vehicles travelled across 120 towns in 20 districts throughout the island during the campaign. Consumers were also able to submit their entries directly through these promotional vehicles, resulting in overwhelming participation and enthusiastic response from tea lovers nationwide.

The ‘Rasa Wasana’ campaign was launched as a token of appreciation for the trust and loyalty consumers have shown towards the Kotagala Kahata brand over the years.

AA represented at FIA Extraordinary General Assembly in Macau
The Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), the world's largest mobility and motorsport organisation headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, recently held its Extraordinary General Assembly in Macau, hosted by the General Association of Macau, China. The FIA comprises 245 member clubs from 149 countries.

The Automobile Association of Ceylon (AAC) was represented at the assembly by members of its Executive Committee, reaffirming the Association's commitment to global collaboration on mobility and road safety initiatives.

During the conference, Dhammika Attygalle, President of the AAC, and Devapriya Hettiarachchi, Secretary of the AAC, met with Dr. Mohammed Ben Sulayem, President of the FIA, Carmelo Sanz de Barros, President of the FIA Senate, and Alberto Villarreal, General Manager of the FIA.

The discussions focused on a range of key mobility and road safety issues, including the growing number of road traffic injuries and fatalities, vertical mobility, the future of electric vehicles (EVs), and the importance of awareness programmes and workshops aimed at reducing road accidents and fatalities in Sri Lanka.

The discussions were aligned with the United Nations Decade of Action for Road Safety 2021–2030, highlighting the shared commitment to improving road safety and promoting sustainable mobility solutions.
