As Father's Day approaches, Samsung Sri Lanka is celebrating the fathers within its workforce whose dedication, leadership, and resilience inspire excellence both in the workplace and at home. Recognising that fatherhood shapes not only families but also stronger leaders, the company pays tribute to employees who embody these values every day.

For Sabry Ansar, Director and Head of Consumer Electronics (CE) Business, fatherhood has fundamentally reshaped his approach to leadership. While managing a business and raising a family may appear to be very different responsibilities, he believes the same values underpin both.

"Fatherhood has taught me the importance of patience, trust, and leading by example. Those same principles guide me at work. Both my family and my team look to me for support and direction, motivating me to become a better leader every day," he said.

Sabry also credits Samsung's supportive workplace culture for enabling him to pursue professional growth while remaining fully committed to his family.

For Nuwan Ukwatta, Deputy General Manager and Head of Samsung's Mobile Experience (MX) Division, this Father's Day carries special significance as he recently welcomed his first child. The experience has transformed his outlook on both life and success.

"Becoming a father has completely changed the way I see the world. It has taught me that being present matters most. The small moments—spending time together, listening, and simply being there—often become the most meaningful. I'm learning that success is measured not only by professional achievements but also by the memories we create with our families," he shared.

Nuwan says Samsung's flexible and supportive work environment has helped him embrace the challenges and joys of new parenthood while continuing to meet his professional responsibilities.

For Ishan Croos, Assistant Manager – Finance, fatherhood has become a powerful source of motivation, giving greater meaning to every professional milestone.

"Becoming a father gave my work a deeper sense of purpose. It reminds me why discipline, commitment, and perseverance are so important," he said.

Working within Samsung's collaborative culture has enabled him to balance career ambitions with family life. His advice to fellow fathers is simple: "Don't strive for perfection. Every day brings something unexpected, and being ready to adapt is part of the journey."

Meanwhile, Rajitha Ranasinghe, Assistant Manager – Customer Satisfaction Division, describes fatherhood as an ongoing learning experience.

"People often believe parents teach their children everything, but I've discovered that my children have taught me just as much. They've shown me new lessons in empathy, resilience, and adaptability," he said.

Rajitha believes Samsung's understanding and family-friendly culture empowers employees to thrive both personally and professionally. His message to fellow fathers is to treasure every stage of parenthood.

"The years pass more quickly than you realise, so enjoy the little moments while they last."

This Father's Day, Samsung Sri Lanka celebrates fathers across its organisation and beyond, recognising the invaluable role they play as leaders, mentors, caregivers, and role models. By fostering a workplace that supports both professional excellence and family life, Samsung continues to empower employees to succeed in every aspect of their lives.
