AIA Insurance Lanka Limited has partnered with the Sri Lanka Insurance Brokers’ Association (SLIBA) for the SLIBA BeyondRisk 5K, a wellness initiative aimed at bringing together stakeholders across Sri Lanka’s insurance industry through fitness, collaboration and community engagement.

The event will unite insurance brokers, insurance companies, reinsurance companies, regulators, corporate partners, sponsors and fitness enthusiasts, creating a platform that goes beyond business to promote healthier lifestyles and stronger industry connections.

The partnership reflects AIA’s purpose-led commitment to helping people live Healthier, Longer, Better Lives, extending its focus on wellness to communities and industry stakeholders.

The SLIBA BeyondRisk 5K will feature a variety of activities, including a 5K run, fitness session, lucky draws, interactive games, photo opportunities and entertainment, providing participants with opportunities to stay active while connecting with colleagues and professionals across the sector.

Participants will also have the opportunity to win a range of rewards. Smartwatches will be awarded to the top three finishers, while the first 25 participants to cross the finish line will receive finisher medals. All participants will also receive e-certificates in recognition of their participation.

Beyond the sporting activities, the event is designed to serve as a networking platform, bringing together professionals and stakeholders from across the insurance ecosystem and encouraging stronger relationships within the industry.

Speaking on the initiative, Ainsley Alles, President of the Sri Lanka Insurance Brokers’ Association (SLIBA), said the event represents an opportunity for the industry to come together around shared values of wellness and collaboration.

“SLIBA BeyondRisk 5K is a celebration of unity, wellness, and collaboration within Sri Lanka’s insurance industry. We invite all industry stakeholders to come together beyond business, strengthen relationships, and demonstrate our collective commitment to building a healthier and more connected insurance community,” he said.
Janashakthi Finance Appoints Ivon Brohier as Chief Financial Officer
Janashakthi Finance PLC, a subsidiary of JXG (Janashakthi Group), has appointed Ivon Brohier as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective 18 August 2026. The appointment further strengthens the company’s senior leadership team as it continues to focus on business growth, financial performance and organisational transformation.

Brohier brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in the financial services sector, with expertise spanning corporate finance, strategic planning, financial governance, risk management and business transformation. Her career includes senior leadership positions at PMF Finance PLC, Softlogic Finance PLC, Abans Finance PLC, Nations Trust Bank and AMW Capital Leasing and Finance PLC.

Prior to joining Janashakthi Finance, Brohier served as Chief Operating Officer at PMF Finance PLC, following her tenure as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Softlogic Finance PLC. Across these roles, she has contributed to business growth, strengthened financial and operational performance, enhanced governance frameworks and supported organisational transformation.

Commenting on the appointment, Sithambaram Sri Ganendran, Chief Executive Officer of Janashakthi Finance PLC, said Brohier’s extensive experience would further support the company’s strategic priorities.
