The Chamber of Construction Industry of Sri Lanka (CCI), the country’s statutory apex body representing the construction sector, officially launched the Build Sri Lanka 2027 – Housing & Construction International Exhibition at the Galle Face Hotel on October 9.
Scheduled to be held from May 7 to 9, 2027, at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) in Colombo, the exhibition aims to promote industry growth, encourage technological advancement and attract investment into Sri Lanka’s built environment.
The launch ceremony brought together senior executives, property developers, contractors and business leaders representing various sectors of Sri Lanka’s corporate and industrial community.
The event was led by CCI President Manilal Fernando, with Eng. Thusith Gunawarnasuriya, Chief Executive Officer of Siam City Cement (Lanka) Ltd, attending as Chief Guest. His participation highlighted the importance of collaboration between industry associations and leading building materials manufacturers in supporting the development of the construction sector.
Build Sri Lanka 2027 is expected to bring together a diverse network of local and international stakeholders, including manufacturers, suppliers, property developers, architects, engineers, contractors, investors and financial institutions.
The three-day exhibition will showcase a wide range of products, technologies and services across key construction industry segments. These will include high-performance building materials, doors, windows, roofing, flooring and interior finishes; housing developments, architectural and engineering services, and real estate investment opportunities; construction machinery, tools and advanced site technologies; smart building automation, renewable energy systems, energy-efficient solutions and sustainable building materials.
The exhibition will also feature mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) solutions, alongside banking services, insurance, real estate financing and professional consultancy services relevant to the construction and property development sectors.
Positioned as a strategic business platform, the exhibition will provide local and international companies with opportunities to showcase innovative products, strengthen their market presence and establish valuable commercial partnerships. It is expected to attract a broad audience, including contractors, engineers, government policymakers, prospective homeowners and individual builders.
