Amana Bank has strengthened its islandwide banking presence with the opening of its 46th Self Banking Centre (SBC) in Balangoda, marking the Bank’s first Self Banking Centre in the Ratnapura District.
Strategically located at Ratnapura Road, Balagahamulla, Balangoda, the newly launched Self Banking Centre provides customers with 24/7 access to essential banking services including cash withdrawals, cash deposits, and cheque deposits. The facility is designed to enhance convenience for individuals, businesses, and the wider community by offering easy access to modern banking solutions.
The opening ceremony was attended by distinguished guests including W.D.K.C. Nawarathna, Chief Inspector of Police, Balangoda, and Ash Sheikh Rashad Zaman Rahmani, Chief Imam of Grand Jummah Masjid Balangoda, along with community leaders, business representatives, customers, and well-wishers from the area. Representing Amana Bank were Azam Ameer, Assistant Vice President – Region 2, Azeez Junaideen, Branch Manager – Ratnapura Branch, and other bank officials.
Commenting on the milestone, Assistant Vice President Azam Ameer stated, “We are pleased to expand our banking network to Balangoda and establish our first Self Banking Centre in the Ratnapura District. As part of the opening celebrations, Amana Bank also conducted a community engagement initiative by donating school stationery items to underprivileged primary schools in the area, reaffirming the Bank’s commitment to social responsibility and community development.
