Ather Energy, Sri Lanka’s premium electric scooter brand, has further strengthened its presence in the country’s growing electric mobility market through its authorised distributor, Evolution Auto, with an impressive showcase at the Colombo EV Motor Show 2026.

Recognised among consumers as a “super scooter” brand, Ather continues to build its reputation through advanced technology, strong performance and intelligent design. As one of Evolution Auto’s flagship brands, Ather has positioned itself as a premium choice for customers seeking smart and sustainable mobility solutions.

At the three-day Colombo EV Motor Show 2026, Ather and Evolution Auto showcased the Ather 450X, attracting significant attention from customers, electric vehicle enthusiasts and prospective buyers. Visitors experienced the scooter’s connected technology, performance capabilities and engineering features, reflecting the increasing demand for premium electric mobility solutions in Sri Lanka.

The event also marked the introduction of two innovative features to the Sri Lankan market — Infinite Cruise and Magic Twist™, designed to make everyday riding more comfortable, convenient and intuitive.

Infinite Cruise enhances the riding experience by maintaining consistent speed control, particularly during longer journeys and steady traffic conditions. The feature helps reduce rider fatigue while providing improved comfort and control during urban commuting.

Meanwhile, Magic Twist™ introduces a more intuitive approach to slowing down by allowing riders to reduce speed through a backward twist of the throttle, reducing reliance on brake levers during everyday riding situations. The technology uses the scooter’s electric motor to slow the vehicle while recovering energy through regenerative braking, creating a smoother and more natural riding experience.

Unlike conventional braking assistance systems, Magic Twist™ can bring the scooter to a complete stop and continues to function even when the battery is fully charged, making stop-and-go city riding more effortless.

Another key attraction at the exhibition was the display of the Ather 450X battery pack and aluminium chassis, giving visitors an opportunity to understand the engineering behind the scooter’s performance, safety and durability.

The showcase highlighted Ather’s continued commitment to innovation and its vision of delivering advanced electric mobility solutions that combine technology, convenience and sustainability for Sri Lankan riders.
