Dreamron College of Art and Beauty celebrated its 17th graduation ceremony on 10 August, recognising students who successfully completed professional and vocational programmes in hairdressing and beauty at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH).

The ceremony brought together graduates from several programmes, including the NVQ Level 4 in Hairdressing and Beauty Culture, Diploma in Hairdressing and Beauty Culture, and NTT Hair Cutting programme.

The event highlighted the growing importance of vocational and professional education in preparing young people for career opportunities within Sri Lanka’s expanding beauty and personal care industry. Representatives from the education and vocational training sectors, along with senior officials and academics, attended the ceremony.

Among the distinguished guests were Professor Renuka Herath, Associate Dean, Faculty of Business – Information Management at SLIIT; Dr. Priyanka Perera, Chairman of Dreamron Group of Companies; Nisha Perera, Directress of Dreamron Group of Companies and Head of Dreamron College of Art & Beauty; Dr. Kishu Gomes, Managing Director & Group CEO; as well as representatives from the National Institute of Technical Education and the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC).

According to the institution, more than 20,000 students have been trained through its programmes over the past two decades, with graduates pursuing careers in Sri Lanka and overseas.

Dreamron College of Art and Beauty focuses on combining practical training with recognised professional qualifications, equipping students with the skills required to enter the beauty and personal care sector. The 17th graduation marked another step in this journey, celebrating graduates as they transition from vocational education into professional careers while contributing to an industry that continues to create employment and entrepreneurial opportunities.
CLOVE Beach Wadduwa Reopens as a Refined Coastal Luxury Resort
CLOVE Beach Wadduwa has unveiled its renewed identity following a relaunch that positions the beachfront property as a destination blending contemporary luxury, personalised hospitality and authentic Sri Lankan coastal living.

Formerly known as Serene Pavilions, the property was acquired by MAC Hotels and Villas (Pvt) Ltd., part of the MAC Group, and redeveloped under the CLOVE Beach brand. The resort officially opened in January 2026 following the transformation.

Highlights included a mini fashion show and live mixology presentation, while the official key handover by Andre Fernando, Managing Director of MAC Holdings (Pvt) Ltd., marked the beginning of the property’s new chapter.

Set across five acres of beachfront land approximately 45 minutes from Colombo, CLOVE Beach Wadduwa features 12 Balinese-inspired villas. The accommodation comprises Ocean Villas with beachfront views and secluded Garden Villas, with each villa offering a private deck, plunge pool and jacuzzi.

The resort also offers personalised dining experiences, with chefs tailoring meals to suit individual guest preferences. Additional facilities include an ocean-facing bar, spa and fully equipped gym, providing guests with options for relaxation, wellness and leisure.
