The Colombo Academy of Hospitality Management (CAHM) at SLIIT is strengthening its commitment to international hospitality education by providing selected students with opportunities to gain professional industry experience through a partnership with CÉ LA VI Singapore.
CAHM is Sri Lanka’s premier private institute specialising in Hospitality, Commercial Cookery, Patisserie, Tourism and Events. Through its partnership with William Angliss Institute (RTO 3045), Australia, the academy has established a strong foundation in international hospitality education, combining global expertise with practical training aligned with the requirements of both local and international industries.
Going beyond traditional classroom-based education, CAHM provides students with extensive hands-on training through state-of-the-art kitchens, training restaurants and simulated hospitality environments. This practical approach helps graduates develop the professional knowledge and skills required to build successful careers in the global hospitality sector.
Located at the iconic Marina Bay Sands, CÉ LA VI Singapore is an internationally recognised rooftop dining and lifestyle destination featuring a rooftop restaurant, sky bar and club lounge. Drawing inspiration from the diverse cultures of Southeast Asia, the venue combines contemporary Asian cuisine with dynamic spaces to deliver distinctive dining and entertainment experiences.

As part of CAHM’s continued efforts to provide students with international industry exposure, the partnership with CÉ LA VI Singapore offers selected students the opportunity to undertake a three-month international internship.
The programme is designed to provide participants with valuable hands-on industry experience, exposure to international hospitality standards and practices, cross-cultural learning, and the opportunity to work within a diverse, multicultural professional environment.
Students enrolled in Hospitality Management, Commercial Cookery and Patisserie programmes are eligible to be considered for the internships through an interview and selection process. The initiative provides aspiring hospitality professionals with an opportunity to gain international experience while preparing them for careers in an increasingly globalised industry.
Inaugural “I See You” Gala to Make Its Debut at Cinnamon Life on September 13
The Infinite Grace Foundation will host the inaugural I SEE YOU Gala 2026 on 13 September at The Forum, Cinnamon Life, bringing together approximately 500 business leaders, philanthropists, diplomats, public figures, artists and changemakers for an evening of entertainment, connection and fundraising.
All proceeds from the Gala will support the Foundation’s islandwide initiatives spanning mental health, education, prison rehabilitation and second chances, underserved communities and humanitarian responses.
Tickets are priced at LKR 30,000 per person, with the evening featuring a five-course gastronomic experience, international and local entertainment, immersive storytelling, art and a live charity auction.
Companies, families and groups can also reserve tables of eight for LKR 200,000, providing an opportunity to host leadership teams, valued clients, friends or loved ones while supporting the Foundation’s ongoing work.
At the heart of the evening is a simple but powerful question: “What becomes possible when we truly see another human being?”
The Gala forms part of the Foundation’s wider I SEE YOU Movement, which seeks to make mental health support more accessible through education, community programmes, public conversations and practical assistance.
Among the evening’s headline attractions will be Jeff Timmons, founding member of 98 Degrees, who will travel from Las Vegas to Sri Lanka specifically for the Gala. He will perform live and take part in an intimate conversation exploring themes of identity, success, pressure and resilience.
The programme will also feature performances by Dushyanth Weeraman, a 70-piece Junior Philharmonic Orchestra, and Yasas, the Mentalist from Dubai, who will present a special experience exploring perception and the things people do not always see.
A particularly personal highlight will be the official premiere of Stephanie Siriwardhana’s original song “I SEE YOU.” Inspired by her own journey of healing, the song became one of the catalysts for the wider I SEE YOU national mental health movement.
Guests will be treated to a specially curated five-course dining experience alongside international and local entertainment, immersive storytelling, art installations, a Red Carpet arrival and a live charity auction.
The evening’s theme will extend to the dress code, inviting guests to embrace “Black Tie Glamour, with your interpretation of ‘I See You.’”
More than an evening of entertainment and celebration, the Gala is designed to encourage empathy, inspire hope and transform awareness into meaningful action, bringing guests closer to the people and causes at the heart of the Foundation’s work.
