Food Studio has strengthened its presence at Colombo City Centre (CCC) with the launch of a refreshed line-up of five culinary concepts at the mall’s Dining Gallery, marking a significant milestone in the company’s growth journey and contributing to the continued evolution of Colombo’s dining scene.

The expanded offering brings together Primo, a well-established favourite at the location, alongside Hotel Manoli, which makes its debut at CCC after previously operating at One Galle Face Mall. The line-up is further enhanced by a revamped Bamboo Boy and two new concepts, Wide Eyes and Kimono, creating a diverse dining destination that caters to a wide range of tastes and occasions.

The launch reflects Food Studio’s commitment to delivering high-quality, convenient, and innovative dining experiences through a portfolio of concepts designed to meet the evolving needs of today’s consumers. It also reinforces Colombo City Centre’s position as one of the city’s leading lifestyle and retail destinations, serving residents, professionals, families, and visitors seeking exceptional dining options in the heart of Colombo.

Commenting on the expansion, Naveed Cader, Managing Director of Food Studio and Group CEO of Liberty Lands & Developments, said, “CCC is where Food Studio’s journey began, and we firmly believe it remains at the heart of everything we continue to build. Returning to The Dining Gallery with this five-brand line-up is not simply a relaunch; it is an evolution, and it comes at a moment when Colombo is ready for it.

Sri Lanka is a thriving tourist destination, and great cities require exceptional dining experiences for both locals and visitors. For Liberty Lands & Developments, this opening also aligns with our broader growth strategy as we continue to invest in food and beverage, entertainment, hospitality, and selected real estate ventures with strong long-term potential. Ultimately, we want every guest to remember the quality of the food and feel they received genuine value for money. That is the Food Studio promise, and these five brands form the foundation of something we intend to take internationally.”

The launch comes amid renewed momentum in Colombo’s food and beverage sector, where demand continues to grow for curated dining experiences that combine variety, convenience, and consistency. By bringing together established favourites, revitalised concepts, and new brands under one roof, Food Studio aims to respond to changing consumer preferences while building scalable brands with long-term growth potential.

Food Studio CEO Nadeem Rajabdeen explained the company’s vision behind the new line-up. “Food Studio began as a platform for bringing authentic food concepts together, and over time we started creating our own brands. That journey has evolved into a sharper focus on fewer concepts executed exceptionally well, with meaningful investment in product quality, brand identity, and scalability.

Each concept has been inspired by a genuine dining need, from Primo’s focus on artisan bread and quality fillings, to Hotel Manoli’s Middle Eastern comfort food, Bamboo Boy’s Southeast Asian hawker-style offerings, Kimono’s bold Japanese flavours, and Wide Eyes as a specialty coffee and patisserie destination. Returning to the same floor where Food Studio started, now with five homegrown brands, feels like a full-circle moment.”

At the heart of the new Dining Gallery experience is a culinary philosophy centred on variety, quality ingredients, and accessible creativity. Each concept has been carefully developed to cater to different dining occasions, ranging from quick and flavourful meals to more relaxed and social dining experiences, offering visitors an exciting new destination for food and lifestyle experiences at Colombo City Centre.
CEAT Kelani Crowned ‘Best Tyre Manufacturer’ at Inaugural Automobile Industry Awards
CEAT Kelani Holdings has been named the Best Tyre Manufacturer in the Component Manufacturer category at Sri Lanka’s inaugural Automobile Industry Awards, presented by the Automobile Industry Council (AIC) of Sri Lanka. The recognition underscores the company’s leadership and contribution to the country’s rapidly growing vehicle assembly sector.

The awards were presented at a ceremony held at Temple Trees, attended by government ministers, senior public officials, industry leaders, and key stakeholders from across Sri Lanka’s automotive industry. Established as a national platform to recognize excellence, innovation, and sustainability, the awards assess organizations based on criteria including technology, market impact, customer satisfaction, and industry leadership.

CEAT Kelani’s achievement reflects its dominant position in the Original Equipment (OE) tyre segment, where the company supplies tyres for more than 90 percent of the vehicles assembled in Sri Lanka. Since entering the local vehicle assembly industry in 2012 with its first OE tyre supply, CEAT has become the preferred tyre partner for vehicle assemblers, supplying over 150,000 OE tyres annually across a broad range of vehicles, including passenger cars, SUVs, motorcycles, scooters, buses, and commercial vehicles.

Today, CEAT tyres are fitted as original equipment on more than 30 locally assembled vehicle models representing 11 global automotive brands, highlighting the confidence placed in the company’s quality, reliability, and performance standards.

The company’s leadership is further strengthened by its achievement of the internationally recognized IATF 16949:2016 certification, making CEAT Kelani the first tyre manufacturer in Sri Lanka to secure this prestigious automotive quality standard. The certification demonstrates the company’s ability to meet the stringent requirements of global automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) while ensuring supply chain efficiency and operational excellence.

CEAT’s OE tyres undergo rigorous testing and validation processes, consistently delivering high performance in critical areas such as safety, durability, braking efficiency, ride comfort, and noise reduction. Features such as low rolling resistance and reduced vibration contribute to improved fuel efficiency and enhanced driving experiences, aligning with global expectations for modern mobility solutions.

Beyond its contribution to the automotive sector, CEAT Kelani continues to play a significant role in supporting Sri Lanka’s economy. Through local manufacturing, the company helps reduce dependence on imports and conserve valuable foreign exchange. Additionally, CEAT sources 100 percent of its natural rubber requirements locally, supporting the livelihoods of more than 10,000 rubber-growing families across the country.

The Automobile Industry Council of Sri Lanka, the apex body representing the nation’s automotive sector, was established under the joint leadership of key government ministries and operates as a private-sector-led, not-for-profit organization. Its mission is to promote sustainable industry growth, enhance competitiveness, and foster collaboration between public and private sector stakeholders.
