Lina Manufacturing, the pharmaceutical manufacturing arm of Sunshine Holdings PLC, proudly participated as the Diamond Sponsor at RESPIRE 2026, the annual academic sessions of the Sri Lanka College of Pulmonologists, held at Cinnamon Grand, Colombo.

This year’s theme, “Breathing New Life: Resilience, Innovation, and Equity in Respiratory Care”, guided a three-day programme from 15 to 17 February 2026, featuring distinguished international speakers and over 300 participants, including members of Sri Lanka’s respiratory medicine community and industry partners.

As the country’s pioneer local manufacturer of respiratory medicines, Lina Manufacturing sees this collaboration as an opportunity to elevate the respiratory medicine segment and foster knowledge exchange among clinicians and stakeholders.

Dr. T. Sayanthan, Chief Executive Officer of Lina Manufacturing, commented:
"RESPIRE continues to play a vital role in advancing respiratory medicine in Sri Lanka by bringing together expertise, evidence, and practical learning. As a local manufacturer committed to respiratory care, we are proud to support this initiative and the College’s ongoing efforts to strengthen clinical capabilities and improve patient outcomes."

The congress featured a rich programme of workshops, guest lectures, panel discussions, and hands-on training, covering key areas such as non-invasive ventilation, thoracic procedures, pulmonary infections, sleep medicine, and critical care. Participants also had opportunities for networking and cross-border collaboration, laying the groundwork for future advancements in respiratory medicine.
