The campaign comes as Vietjet celebrates another milestone, having been named Best Hybrid Airline for the first time at the Korea Consumer Awards 2026, reinforcing its growing presence in one of its key international markets.

8.8 Promotion Offers Attractive International Fares

The promotion is available until 21:30 on August 8, 2026, Sri Lanka time, with promotional Eco fares available across Vietjet’s flight network, including the upcoming Colombo–Ho Chi Minh City service.

50% Off Pre-Ordered Meal Combos

Vietjet is also offering an instant 50% discount on pre-ordered meal combos across its network, excluding connecting itineraries.

The meal promotion applies to travel between August 18, 2026, and March 31, 2027. Sri Lankan travellers will be able to take advantage of the offer from the launch of Vietjet’s Colombo–Ho Chi Minh City service on August 18, 2026.

Vietjet Named Best Hybrid Airline in South Korea

The promotional campaign follows another achievement for Vietjet, which was named Best Hybrid Airline for the first time at the Korea Consumer Awards 2026. The airline also received recognition for Best Inflight Food Experience and Service Excellence.

The awards reflect Vietjet’s ongoing transformation into a hybrid airline, combining competitive fares with enhanced products and services across its Eco, Deluxe, SkyBoss and Business fare categories.

The Korea Consumer Awards recognise brands trusted by consumers in South Korea through nationwide consumer surveys and evaluations by an expert judging panel.

Vietjet was the only foreign airline to receive awards at the event for the second consecutive year and was also named among South Korea’s 39 Most Trusted Consumer Brands in 2026.

With the launch of its Colombo–Ho Chi Minh City service and the 8.8 Double Day promotion, Vietjet is giving Sri Lankan travellers a new direct travel option to Vietnam while providing promotional fares and additional savings ahead of the inaugural flight.
