The Sri Lanka Logistics and Freight Forwarders’ Association (SLFFA) is set to host the National Logistics Awards (NLA) 2026 on 28 October 2026 at the Lumina Ballroom, Cinnamon Life, Colombo, bringing together industry leaders and professionals to recognise excellence, innovation and outstanding contributions to Sri Lanka’s logistics and supply chain sector.
Held biennially, the National Logistics Awards has grown into a prominent platform for recognising organisations and professionals that demonstrate exceptional performance while contributing to the strength, efficiency and competitiveness of Sri Lanka’s logistics industry.
The 2026 awards will cover a broad range of categories across the logistics ecosystem, including freight forwarding, airlines, ocean carriers, courier and express services, transport providers, container depots, logistics software and technology providers, project logistics, customs brokerage, and warehousing and distribution, among others.
Entries will be assessed by an independent panel comprising representatives from the public sector, corporate sector and academia, alongside experienced logistics professionals. The evaluation will focus on areas such as operational competence, service quality, innovation, track-and-trace capabilities, reliability and timeliness, as well as relevant industry performance indicators and international logistics benchmarks.

The National Logistics Awards 2026 will also highlight the resilience and vital role of an industry that has continued to connect Sri Lanka with global markets despite unprecedented challenges.

Xapi Introduces Sri Lanka’s First Practical PDPA Compliance Playbook Ahead of January 2027 Deadline
Xapi, a unified governance platform spanning Data, API and AI Governance, has launched the Xapi Personal Data Protection Compliance Playbook, a practical implementation guide designed to help Sri Lankan organisations translate the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) into structured, operational and evidence-ready governance practices.
The launch comes as organisations across Sri Lanka prepare for the next phase of PDPA implementation, with core provisions scheduled to take effect from 1 January 2027.
Developed as a practical implementation resource, the approximately 160-page Playbook is built around Xapi’s six-layer implementation framework and four-level maturity model. These tools enable organisations to assess their current level of readiness, identify priority gaps and establish clear next steps. The Playbook also features a Sri Lankan enterprise case study, a leadership checklist and a PDPA Gap and Readiness Audit.
