Marking a significant milestone, the Club recently celebrated ten years of customer engagement by hosting its 10th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Devon Hotel in Kandy. During the event, members were recognised and presented with tokens of appreciation by Rohana Ellawala for their continued support and contributions over the past decade.

Addressing the gathering, Rohana Ellawala highlighted that the Kandy Customer Club exemplifies how customers can become true partners in progress. Reaffirming its commitment to delivering a superior network experience, SLT-MOBITEL Mobile has been recognised as Sri Lanka’s #1 Best Mobile Network by Ookla, the global leader in internet performance testing and analytics, at the recently concluded Mobile World Congress 2025.

The award, based on performance during Q3 and Q4 of 2025, highlights SLT-MOBITEL’s excellence in delivering fast speeds, seamless video streaming, and consistently smooth web browsing. It reflects the company’s ability to provide a reliable, high-quality mobile experience in an increasingly competitive telecommunications landscape.

Independent recognition from Ookla further strengthens SLT-MOBITEL’s position as a preferred network for broadband users in Sri Lanka. This latest accolade builds on a strong track record of performance, with the company previously recognised as Sri Lanka’s Fastest 4G Network in 2024, and the Fastest Mobile Network in 2019, 2020, and 2021.
