The Sixth Annual Convocation Ceremony of the Royal Academy of Professional Studies was held recently at the BMICH Main Hall under the patronage of Head of Academics, Dr. M. N. Lukmanul Hakeem.
The event was graced by Professor A. Sarwesvaran, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Private and Comparative Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Colombo, who attended as Chief Guest. In his address, he encouraged students to continuously enhance their knowledge, drawing from his own educational journey, and congratulated those who successfully completed their studies.
The Guest of Honour, Major Darshana Hettiarrachchi, addressed the graduates and urged them to remain committed to their education and lifelong learning. He also reflected on the sacrifices made by parents for their children’s education, emphasising that quality education plays a vital role in shaping responsible citizens.
More than 600 students received certificates upon completing Diplomas in Human Resources, English, and Psychology and Counselling. The ceremony was attended by special guests, parents, students, and academic staff.
Dr. M. N. Lukmanul Hakeem also presented tokens of appreciation to the distinguished guests as a gesture of gratitude.
CBC Finance Ltd Opens 23rd Branch in Ambalantota
CBC Finance PLC, a subsidiary of the Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC, has expanded its branch network with the opening of its 23rd branch at Main Street, Ambalantota.
The opening ceremony was led by Sharhan Muhseen, Chairman of Commercial Bank and CBC Finance, along with Executive Director Dilakshan Hettiarachchi and Chief Operating Officer Krishantha Perera. Directors M. P. Dharmasiri and Sharmini Wickremasekera also attended the event.
