Dialog Enterprise, the corporate solutions arm of Dialog Axiata PLC and Sri Lanka’s leading ICT solutions provider, has announced a strategic partnership with Seceon Inc to strengthen its managed security services portfolio with advanced AI-powered cybersecurity capabilities.
Through the collaboration, Dialog Enterprise will deploy Seceon’s aiSIEM platform to deliver next-generation Managed Detection and Response (MDR) services. Biodiversity-Focused MoU Signed to Strengthen Agricultural Export Value Chains
The Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) and Janathakshan GTE Ltd., the lead implementing partner of the GEF-07 Project, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration on biodiversity conservation, sustainable land management and climate-resilient livelihoods.
The agreement was signed at the EDB Head Office by Mangala Wijesinghe and Dr. Janaka Hemathilaka in the presence of senior EDB officials.
The GEF-07 Project, titled “Partnerships and Innovative Financing to Mainstream Biodiversity and Sustainable Land Management in the Wet Climatic Zone of Sri Lanka,” is a joint initiative of the Ministry of Environment and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The project is being implemented across six wet zone districts — Kalutara, Galle, Matara, Ratnapura, Kegalle and Nuwara Eliya — with a focus on biodiversity conservation, sustainable land management and improving rural livelihoods.
Under the MoU, both parties will collaborate on facilitating market linkages between project-supported producer groups and registered exporters, supporting participation in trade fairs and EDB export promotion programmes, and providing guidance on export compliance standards. The partnership will also focus on pursuing Geographical Indication (GI) certification for high-value products such as Kithul and Pepper, while establishing cluster-level certification frameworks for producer societies.
The collaboration will cover six key sectors: Organic and Artisanal Tea, Kithul Products, Pepper and Pepper Oil, Arecanut and Kolapath eco-friendly tableware, Cardamom and Jackfruit. Activities under the partnership will include value addition, quality enhancement, hygienic production practices and the provision of market intelligence to support access to priority export markets including Japan, the European Union and the United States.
