Morgan Wandell is leaving Apple TV+ to launch his own production company, Kismet, marking the end of a long tenure with the streaming platform dating back to before its official launch.

Wandell joined Apple in 2017 after being recruited from Amazon Studios to become part of Apple Worldwide Video. Following the launch of Apple TV+ in 2019, he served as Head of International Content Development.

During his time at Apple, Wandell oversaw and developed several major productions, including Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, Tehran, Disclaimer, Masters of the Air, and The New Look.

His newly launched company, Kismet, will focus on developing and producing premium scripted series for international audiences, with an emphasis on culturally rooted storytelling.

Although Wandell is stepping away from his executive role at Apple TV+, reports indicate he is in discussions to continue working with the platform as a producer on some of his existing projects.

“Helping to build Apple TV’s international slate has been the privilege of my career,” Wandell told Deadline, expressing gratitude to Apple executives Jamie Erlicht and Zack Van Amburg, as well as the creators he collaborated with globally.

Following his departure, Matt Cherniss will oversee the Monarch franchise and other projects previously managed by Wandell. Cherniss currently supervises hit Apple TV+ series such as Ted Lasso, Severance, The Studio, and Pluribus.

Meanwhile, Jay Hunt will expand her responsibilities to oversee international and local-language original productions, including series such as Slow Horses and Hijack.

Before joining Apple, Wandell spent four years at Amazon Studios as Head of International Series and Head of Drama Series. Earlier in his career, he served as Senior Vice President of Drama at ABC Studios, overseeing successful television series including Lost, Grey's Anatomy, Brothers & Sisters, Ugly Betty, and Criminal Minds.
Premium motorsport simulations arrive on the Apple Vision Pro with the launch of iRacing Connect, bringing immersive racing experiences to users
Racing enthusiasts using Apple Vision Pro can now experience a high-end mixed-reality motorsport simulation through iRacing Connect, which officially launched on Tuesday and is available for free on the App Store—provided users meet the required hardware setup.

The launch had been previously hinted at by Apple Services chief Eddy Cue in April, and is now fully available starting May 12.

iRacing Connect blends a user’s physical racing rig with a virtual cockpit, aligning the real steering wheel with its in-game counterpart to create a seamless driving experience. The system uses CloudXR technology to enable this integration.

According to iRacing, core physics processing and high-fidelity graphics rendering are handled on PCs equipped with NVIDIA RTX GPUs, with the visual output encoded and streamed wirelessly over Wi-Fi to the Vision Pro running visionOS.

iRacing President Tony Gardner said the collaboration with Apple and NVIDIA delivers an unprecedented level of immersion for sim racing fans, combining ultra-high-resolution visuals with advanced GPU power.

Users interested in trying the experience must have an Apple Vision Pro running visionOS 26.4, a PC equipped with an NVIDIA RTX 4070 Ti or 5070 Ti (or higher) with updated drivers, and a Wi-Fi 6+ router capable of sustaining over 1000 Mbps on the 5GHz band.
