Union Bank has recognised its top-performing employees and teams for the first quarter of 2026 at the UB Heroes Awards, a performance-based recognition programme designed to reward outstanding achievements across the organisation.
The awards highlighted excellence across multiple categories, including branch business performance based on key performance indicators (KPIs), Central and Retail Recovery Awards, Internal Customer Service, and Sustainability. The initiative reflects the bank’s continued focus on fostering a high-performance culture and encouraging excellence across all operational areas.
Among the standout performers, the Trincomalee Branch was named Best Branch of the Quarter, in addition to securing the KPI Achievement Award for its strong performance across all seven key performance indicators. Several other branches and departments were also recognised for their consistent contributions and commitment to operational excellence and delivery.
The awards were presented by Dilshan Rodrigo, Director/Chief Executive Officer of Union Bank, who commended the recipients for their dedication, performance, and contribution to the bank’s continued progress and success.
