A dynamic learning opportunity awaits aspiring students at CINEC Campus through a wide range of diplomas and degree programmes approved by the UGC and the Ministry of Higher Education of Sri Lanka, offering both accessibility and strong career prospects.

In today’s competitive landscape, forward planning is key, and CINEC’s programmes are carefully designed and delivered by an expert panel of lecturers to equip students with globally relevant knowledge and skills. These qualifications open pathways to high-value employment opportunities both locally and internationally.

One standout offering is the Diploma in Early Childhood Education, which provides practical skills and internationally aligned credentials. The programme is particularly valued in countries such as Australia, making it an ideal foundation for students seeking global career opportunities or migration pathways.

CINEC also offers Bachelor of Education (Honours) degrees in fields such as Information Technology and English, along with a distinctive programme in Sports and Physical Education. This degree is especially suited for professional athletes aiming to diversify their expertise and prepare for career transitions beyond sports.

“CINEC is the only institute offering a degree programme in this capacity,” noted Prasad Sethunga. “National-level athletes are already following this weekend-based programme, which provides flexibility while adding valuable academic qualifications for their future.”

Students with proven sporting backgrounds and G.C.E. Advanced Level qualifications are eligible to enrol in the degree programme. Additionally, a diploma pathway is currently being developed to support students who may not meet the direct entry requirements, ensuring broader access to higher education.
Abdul Razak M. Muzammil becomes the first Sri Lankan to achieve the globally recognised CAMA2 certification
In a historic achievement for Sri Lanka, Abdul Razak M. Muzammil has become the first Sri Lankan to be awarded the globally recognised CAMA˛ (Certified Asset Management Assessor) certification, setting a new benchmark for professional excellence in the country’s infrastructure and asset management sector.

The CAMA2 designation, awarded by World Partners in Asset Management (WPiAM), is considered one of the most advanced credentials in asset management. It reflects high-level expertise in ISO 55000 standards, asset lifecycle planning, risk-based decision-making, and organisational asset performance evaluation.

This milestone comes at a time when asset management is gaining global importance, driven by rapid infrastructure growth, smart city development, and increasing demand for sustainable and data-driven operational systems. In regions such as the Middle East, where large-scale infrastructure projects, airports, and smart city initiatives are expanding rapidly, demand for CAMA2-certified professionals has significantly increased to ensure long-term value and operational efficiency.

For Sri Lanka as well, this achievement signals a meaningful shift. As the country advances infrastructure, energy, transport, and public service development, internationally aligned asset management frameworks such as ISO 55000 are becoming increasingly essential. Muzammil’s certification therefore represents not only a personal milestone but also a reflection of Sri Lanka’s growing engagement with global best practices in infrastructure management.

Currently, he serves as Assets & CAFM Manager at Jeddah International Airport Company, where he oversees enterprise asset management, CAFM system governance, KPI monitoring, SLA optimisation, maintenance planning, and 24/7 Work Control Centre operations. His work contributes directly to the efficiency and reliability of one of the region’s major aviation hubs.
