Morocco’s Education Ministry and Huawei Strengthen DigiSchool Initiative
The Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports of Morocco, in partnership with Huawei Morocco, has launched the third edition of the DigiSchool programme, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening digital skills among students in rural communities and accelerating the digital transformation of the country’s education system.

Building on the success of previous editions, DigiSchool 2026 aims to create a more innovative, inclusive, and digitally connected learning environment while equipping students and educators with the skills required for the future.

Since its inception, DigiSchool has emerged as a key initiative supporting the integration of digital technologies into education, particularly at the middle-school level. The programme places both teachers and students at the centre of its efforts, using technology as a catalyst for learning, educational innovation, and broader access to opportunities.

The latest edition seeks to significantly expand the programme’s national impact. It will engage 60 alumni teachers to support training activities and provide direct training to 300 new teachers across Morocco’s 12 regions. Through a cascade training model, the initiative is expected to indirectly benefit an additional 5,000 teachers nationwide.

Student participation will also increase substantially, with 12,500 students directly involved in DigiSchool clubs and a further 50,000 students expected to gain exposure to technology and innovation through programme activities.

Commenting on the initiative, Huawei Morocco Vice President Anis Liu said DigiSchool is designed to create a new educational dynamic where technology serves as a driver of learning, creativity, and equal opportunity.

“This third edition reflects our commitment to working closely with our institutional partners to support teachers, encourage student engagement, and foster an inclusive culture of innovation across all regions of the Kingdom,” he said.

Beyond its expanded reach, DigiSchool 2026 introduces a comprehensive approach that combines training, mentorship, experimentation, and hands-on learning. The programme includes the establishment of 300 DigiSchool clubs in schools, providing students with opportunities to develop practical digital skills and engage with emerging technologies.

The initiative also extends its impact beyond classrooms by involving parents’ associations through teacher-led training programmes focused on resource mobilisation and participatory funding, helping to strengthen collaboration within the wider educational ecosystem.

Through DigiSchool, Morocco’s Education Ministry and Huawei continue to advance digital inclusion and innovation, supporting the development of a future-ready education system equipped to meet the demands of an increasingly digital world.
