CBC Finance PLC has strengthened its islandwide presence with the opening of its 25th branch in Kalmunai, located along Batticaloa Road.
The new branch has been established to provide accessible and modern financial services to small and medium-sized businesses, traders and retail customers in Kalmunai and surrounding areas.
The branch opening was held under the leadership of Sharhan Muhseen, Chairman of CBC Finance PLC. The event was attended by Senior Director Sarath Jayasuriya, Directors M.P. Dharmasiri and Sharmini Wickramasekara, Executive Director Delekshan Hettiarachchi, Chief Business Officer Dhammika Hapuhinna and Chief Operating Officer Krishnantha Perera, together with customers and prominent business representatives from the area.
CBC Finance, which holds a National Long-Term Rating of ‘A(lka)’ from Fitch Ratings, will provide a range of financial solutions through its new Kalmunai branch.
These services include vehicle leasing, fixed deposits and the company’s ‘Thanga Thunai’ gold loan facility, supported by competitive processing fees and faster loan approval processes.
Supporting the Local Community
The opening of the Kalmunai branch was also marked by a community-focused initiative under CBC Finance’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.
As part of the initiative, the company donated a fully equipped computer laboratory to Sri Korakkar Tamil Maha Vidyalayam within the Sammanthurai Educational Zone.
The contribution forms part of CBC Finance’s efforts to support education and digital access while expanding its financial services presence across communities in Sri Lanka.
