Virtusa Corporation, a global product and platform engineering services company, has announced a strategic partnership with Vietcombank (VCB), Vietnam’s leading state-owned commercial bank, to develop a next-generation corporate digital banking platform.

Following the official project kickoff ceremony held on July 30 in Hanoi, the two organisations will embark on a multi-year transformation programme to build a unified, scalable and AI-native digital banking platform named VCB Corporate DigiBank. The platform is designed to transform the digital banking experience for Vietcombank’s corporate customers across the region.

The initiative represents a major investment by Vietcombank to strengthen its position as a market leader while accelerating the delivery of financial products and services to corporate customers. It is also the largest technology project in the bank’s history.

As part of the greenfield transformation, Vietcombank will replace its legacy infrastructure with a future-ready, cloud-native architecture. The new platform will deliver a persona-based, mobile-first experience for mid-sized and large corporate clients, while unifying customer journeys across web and mobile channels.

The transformation aims to bring the intuitive and seamless digital experiences commonly associated with retail banking to Vietcombank’s corporate customers, creating a more convenient and frictionless way to access financial services.

“This project is not just a technological upgrade; it is a comprehensive transformation of Vietcombank’s digital capacity,” said Mr. Le Quang Vinh, Member of the Board of Directors, CEO and Project Director. “By internalizing international best practices, we are building long-term, self-reliant digital capabilities. Ultimately, the success of this transformation will be measured by one metric: the satisfaction and trust of our corporate customers as they experience this new platform.”

Ms. Phung Nguyen Hai Yen, Deputy CEO and Deputy Project Director, added, “To deliver on this vision, we are building a modern digital ecosystem that actively promotes digital transformation across the broader business community. By combining Vietcombank’s systemic strength with Virtusa’s deep international expertise, we are ensuring this platform sets a new benchmark for quality and innovation in the national digital economy.”

The new platform will leverage Virtusa’s more than 25 years of experience in domain-driven platform engineering. The initial phase will focus on modernising Account Management and Payments, delivering immediate value to Vietcombank’s corporate customers.

Future releases will expand the platform’s modular capabilities to cover a broader range of financial products and services, including lending, trade finance, collections, foreign exchange and investments.

Through the partnership, Vietcombank aims to establish a modern, flexible and scalable corporate banking ecosystem that can evolve with changing customer needs while supporting the bank’s broader digital transformation ambitions.

Robbialac, the flagship paints brand of Lankem Ceylon PLC, strengthened its connection with consumers as the Official Colour Partner of the Derana International Kite Festival 2026, turning its association with colour into an engaging and memorable experience for families.

Held at Galle Face Green, the festival transformed Colombo’s iconic waterfront into a vibrant celebration of colour, creativity and culture, bringing together kite enthusiasts from Sri Lanka and around the world. The 2026 edition welcomed participants from around 30 countries, including approximately 80 international kite flyers and more than 1,000 local kite flyers.

Extending the celebration beyond the colourful skies, Robbialac created an interactive experience zone designed to engage visitors of all ages. The activation reflected Robbialac’s commitment to creating meaningful consumer experiences while reinforcing the brand’s long-standing association with colour and creativity.

“Colour is an integral part of how people experience and express the world around them, and the Kite Festival was a particularly fitting platform for Robbialac to celebrate that connection. As a proudly Sri Lankan paint, we wanted our presence to go beyond branding and create an experience that families could genuinely enjoy. The enthusiasm we saw, particularly among children, reinforced the power of creating meaningful consumer experiences around our brand and the special place Robbialac continues to hold in Sri Lankan homes,” said Chirantha De Zoysa, Chief Marketing Officer, Lankem Ceylon PLC.
